Our Story
B.S.S Associates was founded in 1972 by Late B.S. Shankar, who built the firm on a simple but enduring belief: every client deserves expert legal representation and personalised attention. Armed with a B.Sc and B.L, he was widely respected across Karnataka for his mastery of criminal, civil, and property law. From a modest practice in Gubbi, the firm steadily grew into one of the region's most trusted legal names — the initials "B.S.S." a lasting tribute to its founder.
Today the firm is led by Late Shankar's sons: B.S. Madhusudhan (Senior Partner, practising since 1995) and B.S. Jayashankar (Partner, practising since 1998). Together they bring over 57 years of combined legal experience, carrying forward the integrity and dedication their father instilled. The third generation is already represented by B.M. Hemapatel, daughter of B.S. Madhusudhan, who graduated from JSS Law College, Mysore and commenced her practice in 2024.
With offices in Gubbi, Tumakuru, and Bangalore, B.S.S Associates continues to serve the community with the same values that have guided the firm for over 54 years — since 1972.
